BURNINGCRUSADEWoWCLASSIC

The Burning Crusade – WoW Classic

It’s WoW expansion time again. Not for retail this time, rather the release of The Burning Crusade (TBC) for WoW Classic. TBC will be added to the classic servers as an option starting June 1st, with the pre expansion patch happening two weeks prior on May 18th (19th for EU).

Some highlights to enjoy in the pre-patch include:

New Races

  • Draenei for the Alliance
    • Access to Shaman
    • Space Goats
  • Blood Elves for the Horde
    • Access to Paladins
    • Horde Elves

The Looking for Group Tool

  • Instead of being the basic LFG tool that came with the first release of TBC, TBC Classic will include the ability to summon other players to dungeons. No more waiting for a lock with no shards!
  • The summoning stones will require, however, two people present to summon the rest of the party.

Opening of the Dark Portal event

  • In the Badlands, the Dark Portal will open and start allowing demons from the Outlands into Azeroth
  • Participation rewards the player the Tabard of the Protector
    • A tabard that will otherwise be unobtainable
  • Changes may be made for TBC classic that we don’t know of yet. Such as the recently announced energy tick rate being on an internal timer.

Many additional minor changes will be made to the game with TBC Classic pre-patch including:

  • TBC talent trees, extending the vanilla talent tree two more rows
  • AOE cap for mages
  • ~30% less experience required for levels below 61

Once TBC Classic fully launches on June 1st players will be able to travel to the Outlands, home of the Dranei, through the Dark Portal. Some additional major changes include:

  • Level cap increased to 70
  • Flying mounts
  • PvP Arena System
  • Paladins on both factions will have access to Seal of Blood and Seal of Vengeance
  • A one time $40 paid character boost that grants an account a level 58 character
    • This cannot be used on Draenei or Blood Elves
  • Removal of spell batching
    • If you don’t know what this is, don’t worry, it’s removal is a good thing!
  • Streamlining of consumables for raid buffs
    • No more trying to worry about saving buffs!
  • New Profession
    • Jewelcrafting
